Would like to take up Kalari-Payat ?

Our youngest student is 5 years old and our oldest student is 57 years old. If you fit in somewhere between (give or take a few years !). you are eligible to take up Kalari Payat.

Do you have to be fit ?

Preferably, but if you are not fit, Kalari Payat will make you fit. The martial arts does not insist for body builder's muscles, a weight lifter's strength, a marathon runner's stamina or an acrobat's agility. Most of the time, you learn to use minimum effort to achieve your aims.

Do you have the time?

Well one evening a week is the minimum you need: if you can do any training on your own all the better. Can you keep it up.

What will it do for you?

We don't mould you into a fighter overnight. In fact we accept all those who have learnt the art to use it with the greatest restraint as we are very concerned if any student of Kalari-Payat uses his art to unfair advantage. Most of the time, our students learn how to self control.

Our motto is " Control, Confidence, Courage."

We believe that every person should learn to control himself before he even thinks of controlling others. We believe that once a person knows he is capable of defending himself, he will learn confidence. Confident people don't show off their powers - only those with no real confidence or an inferiority complex feel compelled to bully. As for courage, it usually comes when you know that you can take care of yourself when it comes to the crunch.
